CHENNAI: The Sankara Nethralaya Academy on Sunday conducted the continuing optometric education for optometrists on the low vision assessment and optometric evaluation of special children.

The Continuing Optometric Education ( COE) is a certificate course in clinical optometry with 12 sessions in a year and aims at providing the practising optometrists a complete package of comprehensive eye evaluation starting with the basics to dealing with specialty areas of optometric practice, said the academic officer of the academy, N.Mahalingam.

The next session on COE will be on contact lens on April 17.
