Express News Service

The General Motors India launched its premium hatchback Chevrolet Sail U-VA here on Friday. Unveiling the car, which is available in both petrol (1.2 litre) and diesel (1.3 litre) variants, P Balendran, Vice President, GM India, hoped that the new product would be a “game changer” that would bring excitement in a sluggish market. “Chevrolet Sail U-VA hatchback is an important addition to GM’s small car portfolio in India,” he noted. Shastry Vempatti, Vice President, Planning and Programme Management, said the smartly-designed folding type rear row seats provided huge boot space. The fuel tank, which is usually located in the rear has been moved to the front, giving ample storage space.

The suspension has been optimised for Indian roads, he added. The car is available in seven colours, including super red and linen biege.
