A little bit of giggling and a lot of learning later, 20 kids from the Marriott Home in Kanchipuram pledged to take greater care with their personal hygiene from here on in. This was after a three-hour interactive learning session on cleanliness, personal hygiene and how one can prevent the spread of diseases, conducted by Courtyard by Marriott as part of the activities for ‘Joy of Giving’ week.

The highly enthusiastic kids of leprosy-affected parents participated in various activities like quizzing, games, drawing and colouring to learn about how one could keep clean. Mary Joseph, training manager of the hotel said that this session was aimed at helping the children develop a rounded personality.

She stressed the need for them to realise the importance of hygiene and grooming in their lives.
