An exhibition cum sale – Navarathri Crafts Festival, organised by Dhavarthini Handicrafts, is on at Sri Sankara Hall, Alwarpet, between October 3 and 15. Kolu dolls from different States have been exhibited. Also on display are Andhra sarees, Rajasthan dresses, silk and cotton sarees, silver jewellery from Jaipur, pearls from Hyderabad, white wood carving from Jaipur, Saharanpur furniture from UP and Kondapalli Children toys from Andhra Pradesh. A special discount of 20 percent on handloom items on 10 per cent on handicrafts will be given to customers.
