Vijaya hospital completes 15,000 heart surgeries

Vijaya Hospitals has successfully completed 15,000 heart surgeries, including 10,000 beating heart surgeries and commemorated the occasion with a felicitation by Governor K Rosaiah. He termed it, “the rarest of the rare feat, a unique distinction achieved by a single cardiac unit.”

He also said that it was a pleasure to honour the eminent doctors especially as it coincided with the Centenary celebrations of B NagiReddi, Founder – Vijaya Group of Hospitals.

“Health is one of the prime pursuits for a happy living. It is not merely to live managing with diseases, but it is to live without diseases. It is good mind and character coupled with healthy heart and proper dietary habits that will help one to lead a happy and peaceful life,” said the governor.

Quoting a World Health Statistics Report – 2012, he said “One in three adults’ worldwide have high blood pressure – a condition that causes half of all deaths from stroke and heart disease.”
