Home decor exhibition begins in city

The Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd, a Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India — is conducting a ‘Home Decor’ exhibition from July 24 to August 2. This is the largest organisation marketing finest Indian Handicrafts and Handlooms in the country through its emporia in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai. The main aims of CCIC are to encourage Indian craftsmen and give them access to widen markets both at home and abroad.

The exhibits on display include rocking chairs, picnic chairs, jute chairs, sofa sets, side tables, telephone tables, chowkis, boxes, carved inlaid almirahs, curio tables and a full range of furniture from Shekhawati, Jodhpur.

The carpet range includes rich silk, woollen, jewel carpets, hand knitted and hand woven having geometrical and Persian designs and tufted, chain stitch durries.

A special 10% discount is being offered on furniture and carpets.
