Radha, a cinema actress, filed a cheating complaint on Friday against a man whom she charged with living with her for nearly six years promising to marry her and deserting her.

The actress, who had played the lead role in a few films including Sundara Travels, submitted a petition to the city police seeking action against Fizul alleging that he had been issuing death threats to her after she demanded that he marry her.

“I have come out in public to lodge the complaint against him as I did not want other women to get cheated by him. We lived together for nearly six years like husband and wife without getting married. Only later I came to know that he was already married and had given a false name to me. He had told me that his name is Shyam while actually it is Fizul,” Radha told media persons after lodging the complaint.

She further said Fizul had obtained nearly Rs 50 lakh from her and had also filmed her when she was in private with him.

“As I dared to initiate legal action against him, he threatened that he would make those videos public to embarrass me. I gave him huge amounts by selling my inherited properties as I trusted that he would marry me. But, now he is not ready to either return the money or marry me,” said Radha. Radha wanted police to initiate legal action on Fizul and give her protection.
