This year, Apollo Specialty Cancer Hospital, Chennai, observed Rose Day with renowned cine actor Sivakarthikeyan who distributed roses to cancer patients in their wards and spenttime with the children. Actor Gowthami also visited the children and showed support. More than 10 lakh cancer cases have already been detected in India in the current year with the numbers set to shoot up to 11.48 lakh by 2015.
