The new Essensuals salon at Periyar Nagar is just another feather in the cap of Toni and Guy’s diffusion line. For the brand’s target is to come up with 50 salons across the city by the end of the year. “And we are well on target,” says Sam Paul, director, Essensuals, at the launch of their seventh salon on Thursday.
While Toni and Guy’s services start from ‘1,000, Essensuals has it all subsidised. “Customers, who are going to a barber shop can now opt for Essensuals. It’s affordable,” says Sam. It’s true, the lowest price for a haircut is `150. “It’s not just about the haircut, it is the experience in itself — the spa, care by the staff, aroma, smell, flooring, brand of products and ambience. Also, the staff at Essensuals are the ones trained by Toni and Guy,” he adds.
The salon, according to Sam, has been strategically located in the posh Periyar Nagar, and is sure to attract more people, including students. Owned by Diaz Santhosh and Vincy Diaz, it houses exclusive rooms for facial, manicure, pedicure, spa and bridal makeovers.
The salon was inaugurated by Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, and saw a host of models walking the limited space with the hairdos done by the Essensuals staff. They were showcasing the new collection ‘Campaign Inspiration 2014-2015’ by Essensuals. The style was inspired by the looks at the London Fashion Week, they say.
