Bomb Threat at Ampa Skywalk in Chennai

CHENNAI: Ampa Skywalk mall in Chennai was closed down briefly after a bomb threat Friday afternoon. All the customers and mall staff were asked to vacate the building after the authorities received an anonymous call around 11.30 AM informing them about a bomb in the mall.

The bomb squad was immediately rushed to the spot and searched the mall. The mall remained closed from 11.30AM to 4PM.

Officials informed that the call was made by someone who could speak English and Tamil. Spencer's mall is also said to be under threat and has been closed down.
