CHENNAI: ‘HealthMemo’ serves as a one-stop solution to store medical records has been developed by Chennai-based Mooneye group.
“This is a free app that can be downloaded from Android or IOS platforms. It will store and manage paper records, charts, X-rays and also make them accessible anywhere. During emergencies, the crucial medical data and history can be accessed by the medical personnel,” said Pradeep Dadha chairman.
He added that the app is designed keeping in mind those with white-collared jobs as they are quite likely to have a smart phone and regular health check-ups.
Since the medical documents are of a sensitive nature and require to be stored in a secure database, the application encrypts data before storage so that it does not get leaked easily, said Anand Pathak, the developer of HealthMemo.
Going forward, the application would have additional features such as reminders to take pills, facilities to book appointments and provisions to create family trees that would help in identifying the patient’s health history, he explained.
