Nippon Expo From Today at Anna Univ

CHENNAI : The Consulate-General of Japan, Chennai, the Japan Foundation, School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University and ABK-AOTS Dosokai, Tamil Nadu Centre is coming together to organise ‘Parallel Nippon Exhibition’, which will be held from today to November 1 between 10 am to 5 pm, at the Multipurpose Hall, School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University.

Parallel Nippon is an exhibition that explores the evolution of Japanese architecture between 1996 and 2006.  Featuring some of Japan’s most influential architects such as Toyo Ito, Kengo Kuma, Tadao Ando, Kenzo Tange and SANAA, the exhibition includes photographic panels and models of Japanese designs on themes of Urban, Life, Culture and Living.  The panels displayed in this exhibition are ranging from massive infrastructure facilities such as airports and port facilities to private residence

M Rajaram,vice-chancellor, Anna University and Masanori Nakano, Consul-General of Japan, Chennai will inaugurate the festival  today at 4 pm. Entry is free.
