Donations Keep Pouring Into Chief Minister's Relief Fund

CHENNAI: State Bank of India has donated Rs 1 crore towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund to help the flood  victims across the state, a statement from the bank said.

SBI has also also taken measures to help with daily banking in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry by deploying mobile ATMs. Steps were taken for dispensing cash to old age pensioners and DBT beneficiaries and the banks functioned on Sunday for the convenience of the public.

SBI is also taking part in relief work with procuring and distributing food, water, blankets, medicines and utensils. The bank is also conducting health awareness camps and medical camps to combat possible water borne diseases in the districts affected by floods.

Considering the property damage the floods have caused, SBI has announced waiver of penalty for late payment of EMI for the month of November and December for Home loans, Car loans, personal loans besides waiver of processing fee for home loan top ups, gold loans, personal and pension loans besides extension of special soft loans.
