Seminar on Fuzzy Theory

CHENNAI: A two-day national seminar on Fuzzy Theory and Applications was organized by KCG College of Technology, here from Friday to celebrate the fiftieth year of the introduction of Fuzzy sets by Dr Lotfi A Zadeh. Convenor of the conference, Dr P Sivaramakrishna Das, the first Indian to publish the pioneering work on Fuzzy groups, quoting the international marketing research firm Frost and Sullivan said ‘Fuzzy is one of the world’s top 10 hottest technologies that have entered the 21st century with a projected annual growth rate of 20 per cent.’

Invited talks delivered by experts highlighted the applications of Fuzzy mathematics in social problems, medicine, music, decision making, etc. Overall 68 research papers were presented.
