Dosa Magnets for Your Refrigerator?

Express News Service

CHENNAI: How would it be if your fridge magnets were food items? Appetising much? It would only be better if you made them on your own. You can make miniature models of South Indian delicacies such as Puttu, Dosai, Idli and Aapam, on a plate, complete with garnishing on a banana leaf with two types of chutney, just out of clay within a span of just four hours and can take it back home to stick these magnets on your refrigerators as well.

And those interested will be taught by Shilpa Mitha, creative head of Sueno Souvenir, a brand that makes clay miniatures of flowers, vegetables, figurines and even customised dolls. At the workshop, participants will learn to make five fridge magnets. The materials – the tools and the clay required to make these five magnets – will be provided at the venue. Plus, there is no age limit to register.

All you need to do is walk into any of the outlets of Ashvita to enrol your name or register online at www.buyit.cc/5478. The fee for the workshop is `3,500 per entry. The workshop will take place on June 13 at Ashvita Nirvana, 33, 5th Avenue, Besant Nagar, between 10 am and 2 pm. Contact 9791088189 or 9003365432 for further details.
