Quick and Easy English Lessons Are Now at Your Fingertips

CHENNAI: As a part of their CSR initiative, detergent brand Rin announced the launch of Rin Career Academy —  a three month mobile course that will help impart livelihood skills to youth. Speaking on the occassion, Vipul Mathur, Category Head Core Laundry,  HUL, said, “Rin Career Academy stems from the inherent belief that enabling youth to acquire relevant livelihood skills can make a huge impact on the lives of deserving people who lack them, allowing them to fully express their talent and increase their income potential.”

He further spoke about a recent report by the Centre for Research and Debates in Development Policy, New Delhi, which says that people who speak English fluently earn up to 34% more than those who don’t speak the language,  confirming the link between knowledge of English language and income potential. 

“This is exactly what we want to impart in this academy, “ he added. The ones interested need to simply give a missed call on their toll free number and  20 modules  consisting of 100 lessons made by the British Council will be delivered to them on mobile. The course will be delivered in Tamil and Telugu, and will be available in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The timeline of the course is three months, after which talented students will have a one on one interaction with trainers from the Council and will be provided with certificates. “We have designed the course in a very engaging way,” said Nirupa Fernandez, Assistant Director, English Digital Partnerships India, British Council. “We will be selecting students after closely tracking  their progress on the IVRS platform. “It is great that Rin is launching this initiative that will benefit both the youth and society at large. The three key pillars of Rin Career Ready Academy are speaking English, office dressing amd interview training,” said Rishi, Tamil film and TV actor.

Registrations for the Academy starts from June 15, 2015. The process to apply for the programme is as simple as giving a missed call to 1800-121-4545 and answering a few questions to register.  All call charges amd course fees for everyone will be borne by Rin.
