Register Train-related Plaints Via Mobile App

CHENNAI: The Railways has come out with a web portal as well as an Android application of the Complaint Management System, where passengers can lodge complaints including misbehaviour of railway employees. This comes after an announcement in this regard was made in the Railway Budget.

This is the web and mobile alternative of the IVRS option on 138. Complaints could also be sent via SMS on 9717680982.

After logging into the website http://www.coms.indianrailways.gov.in/criscm/cmsHome.html, passengers could register their complaint under 22 different heads which includes punctuality of trains, water availability among others. Names of the concerned railway staffer could also be filed, while space has been allocated for detailed complaint description. The details of the passenger and date of journey are also needed. There is a mechanism to track the complaints and suggestions on the website.

GRP Launches App

Government Railway Police (GRP) has launched a ‘GRP Help APP’ which will enable train passengers get emergency help, report crimes, report suspicious persons or objects with just a click of a button. On receipt of a complaint, GRP will reach the passenger at the next GRP Police Station, record an FIR and start investigation.
