Taking Health Lessons Back to Gujarat

CHENNAI: A team from Gujarat State Medical and Health Services Department inspected hospitals in the State on Friday. The team, led by J P Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Medical and Health Services, Gujarat, visited Primary Health Centres in Kancheepuram district. Speaking to mediapersons after the inspection, J P Gupta said, Tamil Nadu stands as a pioneer in successfully implementing 104 service and CM’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme among others. “We are going to recommend some of these schemes to Gujarat Government,” Gupta added. “We have heard that Tamil Nadu has shown outstanding performance in controlling non-communicable disease and implementing public welfare schemes successfully. We have come to see these and get an idea before executing them in our State,” he added.
