Hilarious Video on Arranged Marriage by IIT-M Students Goes Viral

The three-minute clip, titled ‘Be Our Pondati’ (Pondati means wife in Tamil) rewrites Jepsen’s song and done in the style of a typical Indian matrimonial ad.

The final year students of Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) came up with a parody of Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit song ‘Call Me Maybe’.

The three-minute clip, titled ‘Be Our Pondati’ (Pondati means wife in Tamil) rewrites Jepsen’s song and done in the style of a typical Indian matrimonial ad. The students created the video for Saahitya 2016, a literary festival held in their college annually. The video went viral in YouTube and also across social media.
