This time, the seizure was made by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials at the Chennai airport. Officials intercepted Rs 1.34 crore in  denomination of Rs 2,000 currencies earlier today.

Five persons were held in relation to the seizure near Chennai airport. The currencies were seized early Thursday morning. Further enquiries are on.
