CHENNAI: The National Investigation Agency is questioning four men in Chennai on Thursday in connection with the IS-inspired module the central agency claimed to have recently burst in Kerala.
The NIA officials is said to be questioned the four men in a hotel at Egmore on Thursday. While reporters assembled in front of the hotel, the NIA officials are yet to give a comment to the press on the issue.
However, one Sadiq Basha, who was also issued a summon by the NIA, told reporters that all four being questioned are his students and alleged that the officials are putting pressure on his students give statements linking him to the IS.
"But we have no connection with any armed struggles," he told reporters. He identified himself as a self-defense teacher taking classes on martial arts like Karate.
Earlier this week, the NIA arrested six persons in the Kannur district of Kerala and said that all the six were part of an IS-inspired module planning to carry out terror attacks in India.
One more person was arrested in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. Four persons residing in Coimbatore were also questioned by the NIA for last few days.
