NCRM celebrates its anniversary

CHENNAI: The 11th anniversary of the Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) was organised recently at the Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology. NCRM is an academic institute affiliated to the TN Dr MGR Medical University.

NICHE 2016 was a day long affair that had several commemorative events. The plenary lecture was given by Yoshikazu Kurosawa, Fujita Health University, Japan. There was also an Ignite talk by Hiroshi Nakamura, director, AMED Singapore, and for the first time a Metaniche session was included bringing together speakers from physics, chemistry and biology together.

The highlight of the event was the 11th Fujio Cup Quiz on Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, which was ably handled by Dr John Sudhakar as the quiz master. The team from Sri Ramachandra University bagged the first prize in the quiz. The valedictory function was presided over by Honorable Consul General of Japan, Seiji Baba, who distributed prizes to the winners.
