CHENNAI: The two-day platinum jubilee celebrations of the DMK’s mouthpiece Murasoli will begin with much fanfare here on Thursday.
An exhibition to showcase the daily’s evolution into a vocal media tool to propagate the Dravidian ideology and a potent weapon to take on the political opponents would be launched on the premises of the newspaper office located at Kodambakkam, followed by a facilitation session in the evening at Kalaivanar Arangam.
Heads of popular newspaper firms will deliver their facilitation address at the event.
DMK workers have made elaborate arrangements for a public meeting on Friday, in which leaders of various political parties will address.
Meanwhile, MDMK general secretary Vaiko heaped praises on the mouthpiece of the DMK describing it as an armoury for the Dravidian movement.
Sounding nostalgic about Murasoli’s evolution, he recalled an article he penned when the daily entered golden jubilee year and wished it to see its centenary.
