CHENNAI: In an effort to recognise women who do business from home, Brand Avatar, an event management company will conduct Homepreneur Awards.  “As there is no bar for education qualification and turnover of the company, many applicants are expected,” said L Hemachandran, CEO and founder, Brand Avatar.

Among the winners, one ‘homepreneur’ will be selected  by Nativelead and they will invest in their company. “We want to celebrate women who choose to pursue their passion and want to be financially independent. One of the entrepreneurs will be selected to expand their business with the help of investors,” said Aruna Subramaniam, founder, Bhoomika Trust.

The jury will have nine prominent personalities, including Mariazeena Johnson, pro-chancellor, Sathyabama University and Veena Kumaravel, co-founder, Naturals Salon. The awards event is scheduled to take place in August.
