CHENNAI:  Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha on Sunday celebrated its foundation day centenary and a commemorative postal stamp was released to mark the event.

The stamp contains a photo of Mahatma Gandhi, founder-president of the Sabha, and a letter written by him. The Sabha was inaugurated by Annie Besant on June 17, 1918 and the first Hindi class was conducted by Devdas Gandhi, youngest son of Mahatma Gandhi.
