Two held for snatching phone at Choolai

Two men were arrested for allegedly attacking three men and trying to snatch a mobile phone from one of them at Choolai on Sunday evening.

CHENNAI: Two men were arrested for allegedly attacking three men and trying to snatch a mobile phone from one of them at Choolai on Sunday evening. Police said Rajeev, was standing in front of his house at Sami Pillai Street, when two bike-borne men intercepted him.

“The men told Rajeev they wanted to make a call and asked if they could borrow his phone. When Rajeev refused to give it, the men snatched his phone and tried to escape. Immediately, Rajeev raised an alarm and his room-mates, Babloor and Binay,  nabbed the suspects and thrashed them,” said a police source. 
The men were identified as S Tamilvanan and G Serranjeevi.
