NEW DELHI: In yet another case of rape of a American national, a 22-year-old US citizen of Indian origin allegedly raped by a man at a hotel in Central Delhi’s Paharganj. According to the police, incident happened earlier this month when she was on a study tour to India.
According to the sources, the woman has alleged that she was made to share same ride with her accused and was kept in a room with him for some time in the police station, during probe. The accused who is at present working in Merchent Navy, has been arrested.
"The incident came to light on May 24 when the victim visited Nabi Karim police station to file a complaint. In her complaint, the woman alleged that she her official tour to New Delhi for an international development programme ended on May 12, but she got her visit extended till June 12," sources said.
