HYDERABAD: Even as Praja Rajyam party vice-president T Devendar Goud and its Political Affairs Committee member E Peddi Reddy announced their homecoming to Telugu Desam Party, Goud’s detractor and TDP leader T Srinivas Yadav is contemplating to quit the party as he feels Goud’s re-entry would be too suffocating for him to continue.

Goud, at a meeting of his loyalists at his residence, admitted that leaving the Telugu Desam Party was a historical blunder committed by him and said he wanted to atone for it. Goud and Peddi Reddy will join the Telugu Desam Party on August 6.

Goud convened a meeting with his supporters today and adopted a resolution deciding to join the TDP. Later they announced the resignation to the PRP and stated that the resignation letters would be sent to the party president.

Meanwhile, Srinivasa Yadav, a former minister in Chandrababu Naidu Cabinet, is also holding discussions with his supporters on the scenario after Goud rejoins the TDP. According to indications Yadav might find his way into the Congress camp.

Addressing his supporters, Goud said that he had taken the decision as there was a need to take on the Congress which was ``indulging in anti-democratic politics.’’ He stated that the Congress had ignored the people’s problems and concentrating on bringing divisions in the Opposition parties.

Goud stated that he was not joining the TD for any positions and posts but with a sole aim to strengthen the party which was fighting the Congress untiringly.
