City welcomes Thai cuisine

HYDERABAD: Saturday night saw the city celebrating the opening of ISDA Thai, touted to be “an authentic Thai” restaurant.

Spokespersons at the outlet said that “what sets us apart from the others is our uncompromising attitude to quality. To this effect, the fresh herbs, which form an integral part of the Thai cuisine, are flown in directly from farmlands to ISDA’s kitchen." These herbs including basil, chilies, coconut milk, coriander, cumin, galangal, ginger, lemon grass, limejuice, palm sugar, pepper, shallots, spring onions, tamarind, turmeric and others are absolutely indispensable for their unique flavours and health benefits. Staff at the restaurant said that research has apparently proven these are the best natural remedies available for cancerous tumour growth, catalysing weight loss and aiding longevity. The cutlery used at the restaurant is a lead free ceramic variant that represents the Thai constraints enforced by religion and maintaining an eco friendly environment, added the restaurant spokespersons.

As regards the décor, ISDA sports an intermingling of contemporary Thai and urbane designs. Designed by a Thai professional, Rachen, the restaurant premises are etched with detailed artwork, Thai artifacts, hand woven flooring, landscaping and a decorated open area.

The passion and spirit of this venture manifested in a glittering evening, further enhanced by two Thai ladies, magnificently adorned in Thai finery playing the Khin, a traditional Thai musical instrumental. For details contact: 9849256292, 9885736516.
