HYDERABAD: Fire broke out at an electronics shop located in the first floor of a three-storeyed building at Giriraj lane in Gujarati Galli, Koti, on Sunday evening, damaging the goods. Though four fire tenders rushed to the spot within minutes, they had tough time controlling the fire, as they could not access the shop, due to the narrow passage. “Our vehicles had to be stationed 300 metre away from the spot and we had to break open the shutters,” a fire official said. The fire under control within an hour before it spread to other parts of the building.

Meanwhile, a minor fire broke out at a corporate hostel’s cellar at L B Nagar on Sunday night. Fire service officials said that the fire broke out due to short circuit in the cellar of Narayana hostel opposite Kamineni hospital. A fire tender from Hayathnagar rushed to the spot and doused the flames. No damage to property or human life is reported.
