HYDERABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party today released its second list of 11 candidates for the coming GHMC elections. So far the party has announced 44 candidates for the polls.
The party decided to field its candidates in all the 150 divisions without forging any electoral alliance. It has already released draft manifesto and will release its final manifesto in the next two days.
BJP leadership took strong objection to Congress and PRP alliance in GHMC elections.
The party demanded that PRP leadership should clarify over its tie-up with Congress.

He sought to know as to why PRP, which had contested polls on `social justice’ plank withdrew it in GHMC elections.
Better if PRP merges with Cong: TD
HYDERABAD: Reacing to the Congress-PRP alliance in the Greater Hyderabad elections, TDP leader Talasani Srinivasa Yadav noted that the PRP had been moving closely with the Congress for some time now.
It was better to merge the PRP with Congress, he advised PRP president Chiranjeevi.
On TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao’s slogan, ``Telangana walo jago, Andhra walo bhago,’’ Srinivasa Yadav said that the TDP would protect the interest of settlers from Rayalaseema, Andhra, and from other States. If the TRS chief did not stop issuing such statements, he would be ``shunted out’’ from the city, warned the TDP leader.
For his part, PRP leader Kanna Babu, speaking to reporters, drew attention to the fact that the TDP itself had had a tie-up with TRS despite ideological differences.
‘Teach less on to part ies fielding criminals’
HYDERABAD: The Janachaitanya Vedika has urged political parties not to field candidates with criminal records.
In a media release, its leaders Salim Malik and V Laxman Reddy said candidates should be sincere and have thorough knowledge of local problems.
Parties putting up dubious candidates should be taught a lesson, they said, and urged the people to vote against such elements. Salim and Laxman Reddy also called for curbing money power in the election process. The Vedika leaders said they would meet representatives of various political parties to persuade them to play a role in cleansing the poll process.
