HYDERABAD: Christian Network International (CNI) in association with Subhavaartha Television will present a unique maiden Christmas cruise on the Hussain Sagar on December 17 between 4 and 8 p.m. This is for the first time in the city that a floating Christmas celebration would be held.

On the occasion, the popular boat, Bhagirathi will be decorated with Christmas trees and Santa Claus. It will also host a sound and light show, ghazals and cutting of the Christmas cake.

Rt Rev TS Kanaka Prasad, bishop in Medak, Church of South India and Swarna Bernard, administrator, Arch-Diocese of Hyderabad will be the chief guests. Religious heads of other religions will also attend the event to spread the message of peace and harmony in the twin cities.

Christine Lazarus, chairperson, CNI and Swaranjit Sen, IPS (retd) will preside over the function. Rev VJHS Nelson, Nehru Dhyriam, Frederick R Michael, Kishore Babu and Sadhu Sundar will also participate in the programme.

All citizens have been invited to come and witness this unique event to celebrate a floating Christmas and participate in the festivities.
