The ongoing show of sculptures at Kalakriti art gallery clubs together the works of 10 sculptors who hail from different parts of the country. The common ingredient which ties them together is the fact that all of them exemplify an undeniable trace of talent and potential.

All the sculptors have worked in different mediums but each has a distinct style and connotation attached to his work which is very strong and personal in nature.

The works by G Ramakrishna have an innate quality of celebration and effervescence which reaches out to the viewer instantly. A group of ballet dancers seem to be caught in the magic of the moment as they embrace and become one with their art form. The beauty of the sculpture lies in the stance of each dancer which differs from the other and yet they all seem to be a single entity.

The sculptures by Akhilesh Kumar embrace and exemplify the elements of nature. The many small tendrils which sprout from a seed like form create an interesting movement and rhythm.

The bronze sculptures by Rajesh Kumar Sharma titled Indian Coca Cola have an interesting amalgamation of tender coconut and birds.

The artist here reinstates the popularity of tender coconut water with an apt talent and finesse which truly enthrals.
