HYDERABAD: Anuj Gurwara won the title Best Playback Singer, Male at Filmfare for Panchadaara Bomma, Magadheera, this year. Not bad, considering that the aforementioned song was his début into the world of playback singing. Ever since, Gurwara’s stock has been rising. And that too, not just as a singer. He’s been acting and doing voice work in addition to singing. His début movie, as an actor was in Hyderabad Blues 2. Impressed with the young man, Sekhar Kammula immediately recruited him for a role in the film Anand.
Furthermore, Anuj Gurwara’s performance as Ghanshyam Das in Maryada Ramanna was extremely well received. Anuj has time and again proved his talent as a voice over artist for ad films, radio programmes and documentaries as well. He has even penned down scripts for a few of the documentaries.
