Techie’s car injures three in Kothapet

HYDERABAD: Three persons were critically injured when a four wheeler hit them at Kothapet fruit market here on Tuesday. Police said, the three injured persons have been identified as two pushcart vendors, 23 year-old Hanumanthu and his brother 21-year-old Tulasiram  and an auto-rickshaw driver Mohammed Rafiq (48).

With Rafiq being the hardest hit,  he was shifted to Osmania general hospital. The two vendors were admitted to a nearby private hospital, where doctors say that their condition is stable.

“Around 7.30 a.m on Tuesday,  a Maruthi Swift in which Varun Kumar, a techie working for a reputed Madhapur firm, hit two pushcart vendors and then rammed his vehicle into a parked auto-rickshaw,’’ said B Karunakar, SI, Chaitanyapuri. As the car reached the fruit market located at Kothapet, Varun Kumar lost control of the car hit the two pushcarts, rammed into the auto and then hit a boulder. Police have booked a case against Varun Kumar.
