HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway bagged jointly with Western Railway zone the prestigious Govind Vallabh Pant Efficiency Shield - 2012 from railway ministry. This shield is in recognition for overall best performance among all 17 zones of Indian railways. The SCR has bagged the coveted shield after a gap of six years. In addition, SCR got All India performance efficiency shields in 6 disciplines, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, traffic transportation, stores, level crossing and road overbridge safety works and running room.
