HYDERABAD: The file suggesting names for appointment of vice-chancellors for 11 universities in the state has been sent to governor ESL Narasimhan, the chancellor of the universities, for his approval and a decision is expected in the next couple of days.

Fifteen universities have been running without a vice-chancellor for a long time. They are being administered by either professors or IAS officers.

Principal secretary, higher education, MG Gopal is acting as in-charge VC for four universities.

Though the state government has appointed a search committee many days ago, the appointments have been delayed due to various reasons.
