KAKINADA: Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET-2012) for diploma holders will be held on May 24.
The test will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. ECET-2012 notification will be issued on February 17. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University- Kakinada will conduct the test this year, JNTUK vice-chancellor G Tulasi Ram Das has said.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Tulasi Ram said applications for ECET would be received from February 18.
The last date for submission of applications without fine is April 2. Candidates can submit their applications with a fine of Rs 500 till April 12. Applications with a fine of Rs 5,000 will be accepted till May 9.
The ECET results will be announced on June 2. Rank cards will be sent to candidates on June 8. About 27,000 candidates are expected to appear for the test.
Application forms are available at all post offices and branches of Andhra Bank on payment of Rs 300.
Applications can also be downloaded from JNTUK website, the V-C said.
Higher Education principal secretary MG Gopal and Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education chairman P Jayaprakash Rao were also present at the news conference.
