Currency racket accused sent to judicial custody

HYDERABAD: The National Investigation Agency on Monday produced the three accused in connection with a fake currency circulation case before the Economic Offences court at Nampally. Later, the magistrate R Sudhakar Naidu sent the accused to judicial custody for 14 days.

Police shifted the accused to Chanchalguda prison.

The NIA had arrested the three accused Mohammed Hujum alias Saleem from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh and Riza-ul and Manik Saleem from Malda in West Bengal in connection with circulation of forged currency notes.

The NIA had taken over custody of the accused who were earlier lodged in jails in Moradabad and Malda.
