The 100 day celebration of Hyderabad being organised by KPMA will showcase their next event - Ghazal Ka Safar - Making of Gazal Live - featuring performances by Ustad Rajkumar Rizvi and Sahitya Academy Award winner Nida Fazli on June 10, Sunday, at hotel Avasa in Madhapur.

Ghazal ka Safar promises to take one on a romantic journey through the history and evolution of the musical genre - the Ghazal - all woven into lilting lyrics, soulful songs and magical music.

The concert brings together for the first time on stage two of India’s most gifted living exponents of this tradition - Ghazal maestro Ustad Rajkumar Rizvi aka “the Mehdi Hassan of India,” accompanied by his immensely talented daughter Neha Rizvi, a classically- trained singer and playback artiste, and the highly acclaimed Urdu shayar and Bollywood lyricist Sahitya Ustad Rajkumar Rizvi is a highly acclaimed Ghazal singer and represents one of the few living legends of Raga-based classical Ghazal gayaki in India while Academy award winner Nida Fazli’s ghazals, inspirational shayari and shers, are very famous throughout.

Ghazal lovers will appreciate a narration in the poet’s own voice of the story of the Ghazal and its various hues through the ages - from Amir Khusro, Mir, Ghalib, and Daag to Faraz, Faiz and Fazli himself, and even the shayars of Hyderabad like Wali Deccani.

An English translation will be narrated by Subhamoy Das for the appreciation of a broader audience.
