Chinese duo held with fake passports

The immigration officials on Saturday detained two Chinese nationals including a woman at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi for travelling with fake passports. The arrested duo were send back to Hyderabad, from where they had boarded a flight on Friday, and were handed over to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police for further investigation. Their original names are yet to be know.

RGIA inspector D Durga Prasad told Express that the two Chinese nationals arrived Hyderabad from Chennai two days ago and then flew to Delhi on Friday.

“They were arrested by the immigration officials of the IGI airport when the Chinese man tried to board a flight to Chicago and the woman to Singapore. Investigation by the IGIA officials revealed that the duo had boarded a flight from Hyderabad and so were sent back here,’’ the Inspector said.
