One popular form of music that stretches back more than 700 years and forms an integral part of the Nawabi city’s culture, Qawwali, has always had audience. Originally a Sufi devotional music act, Qawwali music received international exposure through the work of many famus singers from Indian and many other countries.
Celebrating the occasion of International Qawwali festival, the India Council for Cultural Relations and Salar Jung Museum has organised a Qawwali night at the Salar Jung Museum auditorium tonight from 7 pm onwards. A group of 13 singers from Pakistan will take Qawwali lovers from the city on a soulful musical journey like never before. So, if music is your love, head over to the museum.
