The bandi is owned by P Lakshmi Narayana, who is better known as Lakshman. The bandi opened 50 years ago at Begum Bazar but opened another outlet at Gyanbagh Colony 27 years ago, which is more popular today. Laxman says, “I took over my father’s business which began at Begum Bazaar. Since then, we have been providing quality food and use ingredients like Amul butter, Gold Drop oil and so on. The demand for the food is good and over 300 to 400 people come in a day and during the weekend over 500 people come to have breakfast.”
Nikitha Bojja, an MBBS student prefers Lakshman bandi due to the food loaded with calories. “My vote goes to this place as I think it is way better than all other eateries in the city. I love butter masala dosa and I make it a point to get my dose every time I come to the city for vacation. They always maintain their standard and the food is simply butterlicious.”
Laxman bandi is open from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm.
He even provides catering for a minimum of 100 people and up to 5000 people.

Ram bandi was started 25 years ago by Ram Kumar Shinde. Located at Mozamjahi Market, opposite Karachi Bakery, it is a convenient point to grab a bite and move on. Talking about his food and the demand for it Ram says, “The demand of these dishes is very good and people come to eat from far-off places.” A regular at the bandi, Vishwanath, a student of architecture highly recommends the cheese dosa. “I love cheese dosa here and usually we catch up on it early in the morning with friends.”
Ram bandi is open from 3 am to 8 am.

This is one place which is a landmark in itself. Pragathi Tiffin Centre is owned by Komarayya and was established 23 years ago. Tthe place takes its name after the most popular landmark close by, Pragathi Maha Vidyalaya Degree College. Talking about his favourite at the bandi, Sanjeeva Rao, a marketing manager says, “I like eating their paneer dosa with sambhar. I prefer Pragathi over other bandis as it is open even during lunch hours and they provide good quality and tasty food at reasonable prices.”
Pragathi is open from 7 am to 8 pm in the evening.

Open for the last 13 years, Ram Bharose Bhandar is owned by Govind Lal and Meena Bhattad. The place is managed by the heir of the founders, Yogesh Bhattad. “We use ingredients of high quality and providing tasty food is our main priority,” says Yogesh. A regular at the eatery, Kubra Fatima a student of mass communication says, “I love having butter idli and butter masala dosa here. I mostly go with my friends after a night out.” They are open from 6:30 am to 12 noon.
