Osmania University gets sanction for PG college at Siddipet

Osmania University (OU) has received a budgeted sanction to begin a new district post graduate college at Siddipet. The college has been allotted with an outlay of Rs 19.9 crores.  “It is a major achievement for the university to get another sanction,” said Prof S Sathyanarayana, vice-chancellor of the university said at a press conference here Saturday.  A proposal has been made by executive council to start MCJ (journalism), MA (English), and M.Sc (organic chemistry) courses, while retaining existing MBA and MCA courses.

The last established PG colleges under OU were PG College Mahboobnagar and PG College Nalgonda in 1987, which later grew into universities.
