HYDERABAD: Head to the gathering at Lamakaan where you can witness the revolution in music and dance inspired by Jiddu Krishnamurti’s teachings.  Watch the screening of film Essence of life, a multi-media production which is an effort across many media through the evocative medium of Indian classical dance. The dancers are internationally renowned Kathak dancer Pali Chandra, Japan’s foremost Odissi exponent Masako Ono ammong others.

See how the contemporary life thoughts are portrayed through the medium of dance by prominent artists in Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam and Odissi. Anchored by noted Tamil actress and dancer Sukanya Ramesh, among the others names associated with the project are musician B Sivaramakrishna Rao, rhythm conceiver DA Srinivas, singers Hariharan and Sanjeev Abhyankar have lent their voice to the compositions. The Essence of Life will be screened today at 7:30 pm at Lamakaan. The entry is free.
