HYDERABAD: The Southern Zone Time Table-2014, which will come into effect from September 1, was released by South Central Railway general manager PK Srivastava here on Thursday.
The time table provides detailed information on the timings of trains run on South Central, Southern, South Western and Konkan Railway and other services.
Srivastava also released MMTS-cum-Local Trains Pocket Time Table-September 2014 priced at Rs 5 and Three Jewels, a first-of-its-kind Station Guide Booklet focusing on three major railway stations in the twin cities, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Kacheguda.
SCR has got a considerable number of new trains this year. It has already flagged off Kacheguda-Guntur-Kacheguda AC double decker bi-weekly express, Kacheguda-Tirupati-Kacheguda AC double decker bi-weekly express and Kacheguda-Nagercoil-Kacheguda weekly express. The others will be introduced in phases.
The time table also features the increase in frequency of three originating express trains and diversion of three trains over SCR.
Seven trains have been speeded up by reducing their travel time ranging from 10 minutes to 35 minutes.
Change of terminal effected for seven passenger trains.
There will be a change in the timings of 58 trains at various stations.
