HYDERABAD: Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) said its south central zone (Hyderabad) agent V Venkateswara Rao hoisted the Indian flag at the The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) meet held in Tornoto, Canada.

Founded in 1927, MDRT is a premier association of financial professionals with over 35,000 members from 464 companies in more than 80 nations. Of this, currently, over 9,300 professionals on behalf of LIC represent India. Hailing from West Godavari, Rao has the distinction of qualifying for MDRT 12 times, of which, six times he attained Top of the Table (TOT) status -- the highest honour in MDRT. He was an all India agent in premium procurement during 2012-13 and 2013-14.

He was also conferred with the ‘Pride of the Zone’ award by south central zonal office and an article on his achievements was published in Forbes magazine.

Rao has a customer base of 2,400 and has been serving more than 200 NRI families.
