TTE, RPF Recover Missing Purse of Woman Passenger

HYDERABAD: Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of the Secunderabad division of SCR recovered a lost purse of a woman passenger and restored it to her here on Saturday. The incident took place on 12615 Chennai Central-New Delhi GT Express in which the victim, S.Padmaja, was travelling from Ongole to Ramagundam. On reaching Ramagundam, she got down from the coach but left behind her hand purse containing 40 gm of gold chain (mangalsutra), Rs 3,500 in cash and a PAN card kept under the pillow on her berth.

After the train had left Ramagundam, she realised that she had forgotten her belongings and lodged a complaint with RPF. RPF inspector at Sirpur Kagaznagar alerted the TTE and the RPF staff at Balharsha.  The TTE found her purse in the coach and handed it over to the RPF. The belongings were kept in safe custody at Sirpur Kagaznagar and the passenger was informed of the recovery. The passenger, along with her husband, called on the RPF inspector at Sirpur Kagaznagar who handed over her propoert to her after verifying her identity.
