Gachibowli Mishap: No Progress in Case

Express News Service

HYDERABAD: Three days after an accident on Thursday night which left a woman dead, her husband in coma and a 4-year-old boy injured, police still have not been able to apprehend the main accused as they found his house locked.

“People working in the IT sector in Hyderabad should take a lesson from this incident. They take life easy. They get jobs before they get maturity. Had the occupants of the Skoda car shown a little maturity that night, the incident would not have happened,” said J Ramesh, inspector of Gachibowli police station.

An allegedly drunken Shethab Kumar, HR manager at Deloitte, rammed his car into a motorbike on which Harish Ramchandani, wife Sony Ramchandani and son Moksh Ramchandani were travelling when they were waiting for green signal at Gachibowli-Outer Ring Road crossroads.  The impact sent Sony flying off the vehicle onto the roof of a car.

A consequent head injury caused her death within three hours. Harish  slipped into coma and is being treated at Apollo Hospital. Four-year- old Moksh escaped with minor injuries and is out of danger.

Shethab abandoned the car and took to heels and has been on the run since then.
