HYDERABAD:The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is making arrangements to deploy 400 Instant Repair Teams under the Swacch Hyderabad programme which is scheduled to be launched in the twin cities on May 16.
One small team will work as a unit and take up repairs instantly wherever minor problem arises. They will be provided with one auto trolley, one semi-skilled and skilled masons with two labourers and will also be provided with materials like cement, sand, metal, crow bars and other items to take up the works in their colonies with the support of Residential Welfare Associations (RWAs).
GHMC Special Officer Somesh Kumar said this is the first time that the GHMC is going to take up works instantly and appealed to the citizens to avail of the opportunity.
Repairs, related to infrastructure or roads, that need to be undertaken in and around any colony will be undertaken by these GHMC special repair squads.
